Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This Sunday we have the opportunity to come together for an outdoor worship service and lunch. The worship service will begin at 11:00am with the outdoor boxed lunch beginning at noon. We also rejoice that this Sunday we will receive a new member, Jenny Johnson, during the service. Our text for Sunday is 1 John 5:6-12, where the Apostle John reminds us of the sure foundation of our faith. Our faith rests in the testimony that God himself provides concerning his Son: “If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son.” (1 John 5:9). We encourage you to bring folding chairs or blankets with you to the service. In the case of inclement weather, we’ll hold the service in the Worship Center with overflow seating in the Mission Center. The lunch will also be held inside, practicing proper social distancing.
Here are a few announcements for this week:

Security System
In order to ensure the safety of our people and our church property, we are updating our property with a new security system this week. The update includes indoor and outdoor cameras and motion sensors in the parking lot and in the public areas inside the building. Special thanks to Tim Wierenga for heading up and overseeing this project.
Women’s Hinged at Home Conference: Saturday, November 7, 9 am-2 pm (Lunch included)
On Saturday, November 7th, our women’s ministry Embracing Hope will be hosting a “Hinged @ Home” gathering at church. This virtual conference explores how we are vitally connected to Jesus and to each other as the body of Christ. The conference will begin at 9am and finish by 2pm. A box lunch is included. Cost is $15 and includes your meal and conference materials. Please contact Amy-Jo Wierenga to secure your spot and for questions about scholarship funds. As with all indoor functions, participants will be following COVID-19 safety guidelines and wearing masks with breaks provided throughout the day.

And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (1 John 5:11)
