Dear Faith Community Church Family,
On Sunday we concluded our series Called to Community: Five Features of Christian Fellowship, where we have been focusing on key passages of Scripture that help us understand what Christian community is from a biblical perspective. God himself has called us into community with one another and with his Son: “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:9) What is our identity as Faith Community Church? We are a people called out by the Gospel and called into community with the triune God, who share a common King, a common authority, a common Spirit, a common life, and a common mission.
This Sunday we will have a guest preacher, Davy Chu, a teaching elder at Naperville Presbyterian Church (PCA). Davy will share the Word of God with us from Luke 5:12-16. On Sunday we will also come together for communion. Let’s set aside time to prepare our hearts beforehand to share in the Lord’s Supper this Sunday morning.
The livestream for both the 8:30am and 9:45am services is available here.
Haiti Mission Trip: July 23-31, 2021
We had an excellent Haiti trip informational meeting last Sunday, led by Ted Powers. We have created a page on our website that provides an overview of the trip information, key dates, and financial support.
In order for us to begin to assemble our team for the trip, please contact me by the end of February. This does not commit you to going on the trip, but helps us with the planning process.

Lenten Prayer Service: Wednesday, February 17 (6:30pm)
On Wednesday, February 17 at 6:30pm we will hold our Lenten prayer service. Lent is a period of the church year when we seek to prepare our hearts for Easter through prayer, confession, and repentance. During our prayer meeting we will sing together and pray for one another, our church, nation, and world. I hope that you can attend our prayer service which marks the beginning of Lent, a season which culminates in the glorious events of Holy Week.
Adult Sunday School
We will hold adult Sunday school this Sunday at 4:00pm in the Worship Center and will be discussing the chapter on faithfulness in the book Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit.
