Dear Faith Community Church Family,
As the gospel bears fruit among God’s people, the work of God’s grace begins to infiltrate every area of our lives, including our possessions and pocketbooks. In this Sunday’s sermon text, Acts 4:32-5:11, we are presented with a contrast between the generous landowner Barnabas and a married couple, Ananias and Sapphira, who are deceitful and hypocritical. We are reminded that nothing can be hidden from God and are given a picture of what it looks like to live in a kingdom of “great grace” (Acts 4:33), where generosity is the rule rather than the exception.
