Dear Faith Community Church Family,
This past Sunday we had the opportunity to gather together for our January congregational meeting. In our devotional, we spent some time reflecting on how to stay faithful to Our Community Core through pressing deeper into our union with Jesus Christ. As we abide in Jesus, we will bear fruit and our Lord will be glorified as we do so (John 15:4-5, 8). We also celebrated the work that has been accomplished with our building refresh and provided an update on our church budget. These tangibles–building improvements and our budget–are practical outworkings of Our Community Core, and reflect our dedication to doing all things for the glory of Christ, the growth of his church, and the good of the community.
This Sunday our sermon text is Acts 18:1-17. In this passage, we find Paul in the city of Corinth, another large city in Greece, where he will remain for a year and a half under God’s supernatural protection as he spreads the gospel first to the Jews and then to the Gentiles.
