Dear Faith Community Church Family,
Christian maturity develops as we grow in our understanding of who God is, what he is like, and how he works in the world. In the days of the early church (as in our day), the church needed individuals like Priscilla and Aquila to disciple Christians by helping them grow deeper in their understanding of the Scriptures.
This Sunday, we’ll see how the Holy Spirit works through teaching and instruction in Acts 18:18-19:7, as Paul travels with his colleagues Priscilla and Aquila to the city of Ephesus. While in Ephesus, Priscilla and Aquila disciple a Christian named Apollos, who then travels to Greece to continue sharing the message of the Gospel. We’ll also see how the Holy Spirit comes upon God’s people in Ephesus, after Paul patiently corrects their misunderstanding about baptism, while also sharing with them about the person and work of the Holy Spirit. Throughout these passages, we see how faith flourishes with greater understanding.

When we gather together on Sunday mornings, our greatest desire is to glorify God through worship that is acceptable to him. We will be gathering weekly in room 3/4 to ask the Lord to work through his Word and Spirit to magnify his name and to bring transformation in our midst through our worship. All ages are invited to attend!
