Midweek Update: April 6, 2022

Midweek Update: April 6, 2022

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

When Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a colt the week of his arrest and crucifixion the crowds gathered to celebrate the entrance of the King. The religious leaders, however, urged Jesus to silence the people. Jesus’ response to the Pharisees is a clear message of his kingship over all creation: “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.” Even the stones lying on the ground recognize the kingship of Jesus! This Sunday, we begin our Holy Week series Witnesses of the Resurrection, turning our attention to Luke 19:28-40.

For any children and parents who would like to participate, palm branches will be available in the narthex before the service for a “processional” during the singing of “All Glory, Laud, and Honor.”
