Dear Brothers and Sisters,
When we last left the Apostle Paul in Acts 21, he had been arrested in Jerusalem. After Paul asks permission from the Roman commander to speak with the people, he begins to share the story of his conversion with the unruly and angry mob. Paul confesses before the people that though he is a great sinner, Jesus Christ saved him from his sinful life and made him his own. Paul freely admits that he was complicit in the deaths of many Christians, but God in his great mercy gave him a new life, and even made him an Apostle– a witness to the resurrected Christ and a leader in the church. Never forget that you too, just like the Apostle Paul, are a living testimony to the transforming power of God’s grace and mercy. When we share the story of God’s grace in our life, we are simply pointing others to the greatness of our Savior. This Sunday our sermon text is Acts 21:37-22:30.
