Midweek Update: October 26

Midweek Update: October 26

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

This past Sunday our Kingdom Prayer small groups launched. If you were not able to participate this month, it’s never too late to join! It was a delight to fellowship together and enjoy each other’s company in homes. I am especially excited to see how God will move through our prayer groups to transform us as individuals and as a church, and to bear the fruit of the gospel in our neighborhoods.

In just over a week (November 4-5), we have the opportunity to join together for the A Praying Life seminar. This seminar provides a special opportunity to dig more deeply into the gift of prayer under the teaching of Bob Allums, the director of A Praying Life ministries.

Watch this brief video on A Praying Life seminar to get a glimpse of what the seminar will entail.

Registration will begin at 5:30pm on Friday evening and the first session will start at 6:00pm. On Saturday morning, there will be refreshments at 8:00am, the seminar will begin at 8:30am, and we will finish by 12:30pm.

Sign up this Sunday in the narthex or by contacting the church office. The Participant Manuals are $8.00 each, and can be paid for with cash, check or on our church website.

This Sunday we continue our Kingdom Prayer sermon series, turning our attention to the fourth petition in the Lord’s Prayer, “Give us this day our daily bread.”

Women’s Self-Defense Seminar | November 3, 5:00-6:00 pm (Mission Center)

On November 3 (5:00-6:00pm), Natalie Wierenga and Donna Siefert will lead a self-defense seminar in the Mission Center. Val Austin will share the gospel and also about the ministries of our church. This is a fun class with lots of opportunities to practice. Dress comfortably and invite friends and neighbors! Childcare will be available.
