Happy Thanksgiving!
“We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing – as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth.”
Colossians 1:3-6
On this Thanksgiving Day we rejoice with you in the grace and peace given to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May this be a day of family and fellowship, but more importantly, may it be a day of giving thanks to our Lord.
This Sunday we will gather for the first Sunday of Advent. Pastor Rhett will be preaching on “A Better Prophet” from Deuteronomy 18:15-19 and Acts 3:17-26.

Advent Devotional: Come Let Us Adore Him
One way to prepare your heart for Christmas is through using an Advent devotional. For anyone who would like to participate, we’ll be offering a devotional by Paul David Tripp, Come Let Us Adore Him. Though we will not be meeting formally to discuss the book, you might consider meeting up with others to share what you are learning. The cost of the devotional is $8.00. Place your order by contacting the church office ([email protected]; 630-231-8230) or on the sign-up sheet in the narthex.
