Midweek Update: Wednesday, February 22

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In his letter to the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul gives us a glimpse of how he prays for his brothers and sisters in Ephesus:

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:14–19)

The Apostle Paul knows firsthand the power of prayer. He knows that without prayer, the church not only remains weak, but is also unable to comprehend the goodness and love of God.

 Prayer Service this Evening (6:30pm)

During our Called to Flourish vision we have been asking the Lord to help our church to flourish through kingdom prayer. Join us this evening as we come together at 6:30pm for our Lenten prayer service. We will pray that the Lord would work within our hearts and prepare us to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. During our time together we will seek God’s face as a congregation, praying for our church and our community. As we gather together tonight, let’s do so with great expectation, knowing that whenever God’s people gather in Jesus’ name, that he is there among them (Matthew 18:20).

This Sunday we continue in our Hebrews sermon series, The Glory of Christ. The passage for this Sunday is Hebrews 3:1-6.
