Dear Faith Community Church Family,
God never intended the Christian life to be lived alone. When we believe in the gospel, God makes us members of his redeemed family. It is easy to seal ourselves off from God’s people, but this leaves us spiritually exposed, vulnerable to sin and the attacks of the devil. Instead of trying to make it on our own, we are to “exhort one another every day, as long as it is called ‘today’” (Hebrews 3:13). We need one another in the Christian life so that we do not falter in the faith. This week, let’s encourage one another to remain faithful to Jesus, pointing one another through our words and actions to our Savior. The sermon passage for this Sunday is Hebrews 3:7-19.
In preparation for the Lord’s Supper this Sunday, take time to prepare your hearts beforehand in prayer and confession of sin prior to Sunday’s service.
