Midweek Update: April 5, 2023

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are the most important events in all of history. In the last week of his earthly life, our Savior entered Jerusalem as Israel’s King and was crucified for the sins of the world. In his death, Jesus bore the wrath of God for our sin, and in his resurrection, he defeated death as our conquering King.

Because of the victorious resurrection of our Savior, we can proclaim with the Apostle Paul:

“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”

(1 Corinthians 15:54-55)

Thanks be to God who has given us this victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

This Friday we will join together at 6:30pm for our Good Friday service in the Worship Center.

On Sunday we will come together to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior. Our sermon text will be Mark 16:1-8. Following the service, we will have a special fellowship time with additional refreshments available. If you would like to bring a dish to share, please feel free to do so.

Please note that Sunday school will not meet this Sunday. Our Sunday school classes will resume next week.
