November 22, 2023 Midweek Update

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 1:3). We could spend our whole lives listing out things to be thankful for as believers, and we would never get to the bottom of the list, because God’s gifts to us are infinite. As we gather together with friends, family, and loved ones tomorrow, and no matter our circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18), let’s be sure to give thanks for the goodness and graciousness of our God!

This Sunday we will welcome a guest preacher to our pulpit, Wade Urig. Wade is on staff at our sister church Naperville Presbyterian Church, where he serves as the Director of Discipleship. Wade will preach God’s Word for us from Psalm 67.

Last Sunday, we temporarily lost the livestream connection during the worship service. For the full video recording of the worship service, click here.

Prayer Requests

Family of Joan: Longtime member Joan went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 20. Please pray that the Lord would comfort her daughters, Janny and Ena, and her grandson, Lee.

Wright Family: Please pray for the Wright family as they mourn not only the loss of Hildi, Beth’s mom, in October, but also Dave’s mother, Marilynn, last week.

Karla and Gary: Continue to pray for encouragement for Karla as she and Gary attend to her ALS.

In Christ,

Pastor Rhett
