Midweek Update: January 10, 2024

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The new year has arrived and with it we begin a new sermon series for Sunday morning worship: Follow Me: The Gospel According to Mark. I’m excited to embark on this new journey in Mark’s Gospel with you, and to spend an extended time as a congregation beholding Jesus, our living King. The sermon text for this Sunday will be Mark 1:1-13.

Prayer Service and Congregational Meeting: Sunday, January 28

On January 28 we will gather for a brief service of prayer following our worship service and before our congregational meeting. Our time of prayer will focus upon praising God for his faithfulness to our congregation over the past 50 years and bringing to him in prayer our anticipations and concerns of the coming year. There will be a time following the worship service to get refreshments in the Narthex before we begin the prayer service.

Prayer Requests

Mike Horyn: Please continue to pray for Mike as he begins treatment next month to address tier 1 bladder cancer.

Gary and Karla Van der Molen: Pray for encouragement and strength for both Gary and Karla as they address Karla’s ALS.

In Him,

Pastor Rhett
