Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Christmas is almost here! This time next week, we’ll be huddled around our Christmas trees and opening presents. As Pastor Rhett prepares to preach to us this Sunday from Luke 1:26-33, Acts 10:39-43, and Hebrews 9:27-28, let us remember that we give and receive presents to recall the great generosity of the Father in giving His only Son to us for us and for our salvation.
We will have Fellowship time before the service at 9am with treats in the Narthex. Please join us to worship this Sunday in person, or if you cannot join us you can watch the livestream of the service by clicking here.

Blue Christmas: Thursday (Tomorrow), December 19th from 7pm-8pm
For many folks, Christmas is a time of joy and fun with the family. For many others, Christmas is a time of grief as we remember lost loved ones or as we undergo hardships. Tomorrow, on Thursday, December 19 we will have a “Blue Christmas Service” at 7pm to lament the hardship of the season together and turn to the hope of the Gospel toward a God who hears our grief and has given us Christ to rid the world of all grief and evil. Invite your neighbors!
Christmas Carol Singing: Sunday, December 22th
Christmas Carol Singing will take place shortly following the service on Sunday, December 22th.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service: Tuesday, December 24th at 6:30pm
Christmas Eve is almost upon us! Join us this coming Tuesday at 6:30pm for our candlelight service to celebrate the birth of our Savior and look forward to the day when He will come again to redeem all His creation.
New Church Directories:
The new church directories are almost ready to go! Pictures will be taken early next year – it’s not that far away now! We will take sign-ups for new directories and directory page updates soon, but if you would like an electronic copy of the new directory, please contact Diane Walker. We plan to have new directories available for those who do not have one yet (one per family) and page updates at the congregational meeting on Sunday, January 19th, or shortly thereafter.
Prayer Requests:
Karla Van Der Molen: Continue to pray for encouragement, peace, and provision for Karla and Gary as they attend to Karla’s ALS.
Phyl Holt: Prayers for recovery and ongoing concerns with colitis.
Garrett Klein: Prayers for healing for Nick Klein’s nephew and godson, Garrett, as he undergoes cancer treatments.
