This past Sunday Pastor Rhett preached on our identity as servants of Jesus Christ. We are called to believe in Jesus, pursue righteousness, and flee sin. Pastor Rhett will continue our study of Mark this coming Sunday. Please pray for our Pastor and his family. They are experiencing a stomach bug. The Elders will need to postpone the Session meeting scheduled for this week so Pastor Rhett can help care for the kids as they heal from their illness. This will cause us to modify our schedule for the Congregational Meeting. Here is an updated schedule:
Sunday, January 19: vote for Elders and Deacons immediately following the service. We will remain in the Sanctuary to vote and then be excused for fellowship time
Sunday, January 26: ordain new Elders and Deacons during the worship service
Sunday, February 2: Congregational Meeting

Prayer Requests:
Karla Van Der Molen: Continue to pray for encouragement, peace, and provision for Karla and Gary as they attend to Karla’s ALS.
Ellen Horyn: Pray for Ellen, who is unresponsive in the hospital and they have decided to disconnect her from all machines, and for strength for Mike as he waits by her side.
Garrett Klein: Prayers for healing for Nick Klein’s nephew and godson, Garrett, as he undergoes cancer treatments.
