Dear Faith Family,
We will return to our “Follow Me” series with Mark 10:1-16 this Sunday. In this passage, the Lord Jesus reminds both the Pharisees and the disciples of God’s designs from creation. On the one hand, the Lord desires that marriages ought to last, and on the other, He desires that we come to Him like needy children, as we are but creatures beneath the Almighty Creator. We also look forward to the day when the Lord will bring His kingdom to full completion and join the Lord in fellowship face to face for all eternity. Congregational Meeting and Ordination Service
As a reminder, we have postponed our congregational meeting to Sunday, February 2nd due to several community concerns. This past Sunday, we voted to accept Dan Kok and Joe Paglia as new elders, and Mark Wissing and Dennis Dobbs as new deacons. The ordination for these men will happen this Sunday, January 26, during our worship service.
An Update on Ellen Horyn
We regret to inform you that our sister, Ellen Horyn, passed away during the night of January 17, 2025. We rejoice that she is with the Lord now, but we will continue to grieve her passing away from us. Please keep Mike and his family in your prayers as they mourn her. Details on a memorial service and ways to help his family will be forthcoming.
Seung and Amy Kim Returning from the Mission Field
Two of our Wycliffe missionary partners, Seung and Amy Kim, return to the States from remote assignment this week. Both of them will continue to work remotely with colleagues in Bangladesh as they care for Amy’s parents. They will join us for worship on January 26th, so please welcome them if you see them! After they adjust to their season here in the States, they would love to speak to our church about their work in Bangladesh.
