Dear Brothers and Sisters,
One of the focus areas of our church’s three-year vision Called to Flourish is leadership development. God’s continuing provision for our congregation was evident in the ordination of two elders and two deacons in January. I’m excited to announce that at today’s Chicago Metro Presbytery gathering the Teaching and Ruling Elders of the CMP voted to bring Jonathan Keller and Lawrence Owinya “under care” of the presbytery, placing Jonathan and Lawrence officially on the path toward licensure and ordination in the PCA (see attached photo). We praise God for these men and for the way He is continuing to provide for our congregation and denomination through raising up new leaders. Please pray for both Jonathan and Lawrence as they begin this process toward licensure and ordination.

Lenten Prayer Service: Wednesday, March 5th at 6:30pm
We will begin the Lenten season with a prayer service on Wednesday, March 5th at 6:30pm in the Worship Center. Join us for a time of prayer and reflection as we prepare our hearts for Holy Week.

Women’s Wednesday Morning Bible Study: New Study Series beginning Wednesday, March 5th at 10am
Dealing with change is never easy, often bringing disruption, distress, discouragement, grief, isolation, and temptation. Yet change also revitalizes and stretches, building character that God will use to accomplish his great purposes. Our new study book Change: Facing the Unexpected features people throughout the Bible who faced difficult changes. This Bible study will help you become better equipped to rely on God as your greatest resource through adversity, new challenges, and upheaval that are inevitable parts of life. Please let Amy-Jo know by February 19 if you will be joining us.
