Dear Faith Community Church Family,
The Lenten season is a season of preparation. During Advent we prepare our hearts for the arrival of Jesus Christ our Savior; during Lent we prepare our hearts for the resurrection of Jesus and his victory over sin and death. This evening we begin our Lenten journey with a Lenten prayer service at 6:30pm. This is a service of prayer and preparation, a time when we come before the Lord, asking that he would show us any sin in our life of which we need to repent, and that he would give us the grace to have victory over sin in our lives. We’ll also spend time praying for one another and for our community.
This Sunday we continue our series Follow Me with Mark 11:12-26.

New Office Manager Hired
We welcome Katie Wetherington as our church’s new Office Manager. Katie is a long-time member of Faith Community Church, and the wife of Dan Wetherington. We’re thankful to the Lord for his provision in providing Katie to serve in this important role. Katie will begin the position on Monday, March 31.
Prayer Dinner: Sunday, March 23 (5:00pm)
The FCC Prayer Dinner is back! On Sunday, March 23 we’ll eat together and then turn our attention to praying for one another and the community as we continue to put into practice our commitment to Kingdom Prayer. The Prayer Dinner will take place in the Mission Center. More information regarding the food will be provided.
Card Shower for Joanna and Meng Koh
All FCC ladies are invited to participate in a card shower to celebrate the upcoming arrival of twin baby girls for Joanna (Wierenga) & Meng Koh in April. Check your church mailbox for more information or see Donna Siefert or Jackie Huggins for additional details.
Communications Assistant Opening
We are seeking to hire a part-time Communications Assistant to help reach our community with the gospel and communicate about the ministries of our church. This position is separate from the Office Manager; the Communications Assistant will develop digital and print materials for church events, organize and distribute communications about the church online and in the community, and perform other communication tasks as assigned by the Pastor and Director of Community Outreach. Required hours will usually be no more than six hours per week, though some weeks may require more depending on project demands. See the attached job description for more details. If you are interested in the position, please get in touch with Pastor Rhett by March 9th.

Prayer Requests:
Pat LaBelle: Pray that the Lord would provide relief for Pat as she has been experiencing significant pain in her left arm.
Steve Roberts: Please pray for comfort and stability for Steve as he recovers from a fall and is now at Marionjoy.
Ben and Jackie Huggins: Both Ben and Jackie have the flu; please pray for strength and a quick recovery.
Karla Van Der Molen: Praise God that Gary returned home from the hospital this week after being admitted due to difficulty breathing; continue to pray for encouragement and provision for Karla and Gary as they attend to Karla’s ALS and Gary’s health.
Mike Horyn: Pray for a successful outpatient procedure for Mike tomorrow, March 6.
Joanna & Meng Koh: Joanna (Wierenga) and Meng Koh are expecting twins in April. Pray for protection and health for babies and mother.
