Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The 19th century pastor Charles Spurgeon wrote several wonderful devotional books. I am reading through one of them right now called Cheque Book of the Bank of Faith. In the devotion dated March 18, he addresses the topic of prayer and calls the Christian to seek their heavenly Father in continual, childlike prayer. Spurgeon says this: “He, as a Father, takes pleasure in the lispings of his own babes, the stammerings of his newborn sons and daughters. Should we not delight in prayer since the Lord delights in it? Let us make errands to the throne. The Lord finds us enough reasons for prayer, and we ought to thank him that it is so.”
This Saturday from 10:00am to noon, we’ll have our next Prayer Drive, led by Lawrence Owinya, our Prayer Ministry Leader. The Prayer Drive will begin at the church at 10:00am and will follow a prayer route throughout several areas of our city. Come and pray for the furtherance of the gospel in West Chicago!
This Sunday, Rev. Ted Powers will share God’s Word with us from Isaiah 58:1-12, with a sermon entitled “What is True Worship?”
Please prepare your hearts through prayer and confession to come together to take the Lord’s Supper this Sunday.

Men’s Bible Study: Meet at the Church (8:00am; Room 1)
Our beloved elder, Larry LaBelle, is enjoying vacation visiting his family with Pat for the next few weeks. While Larry is away, Men’s Bible Study will meet at the church (room 1) with Jonathan and Dan Kok leading the discussion.
