Dear Faith Community Church Family,
The love of God is never-failing. In contrast, our love for God waxes and wanes. Our love for God is stronger at certain points in our lives than at other times. While our greatest desire should be to love God with all we are, we frequently fail in this. The good news is that we have a God whose love for us is stronger than steel, and more certain than the rising of the sun. His love for his people has remained steadfast through the centuries and will continue through eternity. “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end” (Lamentations 3:22). How has God loved us? He loved us by giving up his Son. The Father’s greatest treasure was given to us in our Savior. The Father gave up his Son so that we might become his sons and daughters. This Sunday, we continue in the Gospel of Mark with the betrayal and arrest of Jesus in Mark 14:43-52.

On Monday, July 21, the Austins will be traveling to Alabama to visit family and will be out of town until August 4. Don Johnson will be preaching on July 27, and Jonathan Keller will preach on August 3.
August 16: C.S. Lewis Institute at FCC!
The C.S. Lewis Institute is a Christian ministry that trains disciples to live for Jesus in every area of life. Pastor Rhett recently completed the Fellows Program, a one-year discipleship course with the C.S. Lewis Institute. Our church will be hosting an event on Saturday, August 16 from 9:00am to 11:30am focused on “Distractions in the Christian Life” and taught by Dr. Tom Schwanda. This event is free and is open to all. Feel free to invite family and friends to join you!
Meals for the Owinya Family
If you would like to bring a meal to Simple and Lawrence, you can sign up at Takethemameal.com (password 1914) or call Katie Wetherington at the church office and be put on the schedule. Gift cards to restaurants or grocery stores are welcome too.
Men’s Bible Study
Men’s Saturday morning Bible study is taking a break during the summer and will resume in September.
Women’s Bible Study: Wednesdays at 10:00am
The Wednesday morning women’s Bible study is meeting throughout the summer. You are welcome to join anytime. It is a great place to enjoy midweek fellowship and study God’s Word together.

Van Der Molen Family: Please pray that the Lord would comfort the family and friends of Gary Van Der Molen after our brother went to be with the Lord on June 28th.
Owinya Family: Praise God for the birth of Aloya; pray that the Lord would give strength to Lawrence and Simple as they adjust to parenthood.
Larry LaBelle: Praise God for a successful knee replacement surgery; pray for a quick recovery as Larry continues physical therapy.
