Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We continue our theme of spiritual renewal as we turn to Zechariah 8:20-22. Zechariah can be a confusing book full of symbols and visions that seem strange at best and confounding at worst. But take heart! The point of prophecies is always to declare to us the will of God for His people, and in this passage, the Lord wishes to simply assure us that the glory and fame of Israel will be so great that all the nations from around the world will want to come into it. God’s renewal in Israel will show to the rest of the world “the good stuff;” rumors of the Lord will entice many to come and seek Him for themselves! This week, ponder how your life can and ought to be an advertisement for God’s great power to renew anyone through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Saturday Morning Men’s Bible Study: October 11th at 8:00am in Room 1

Sunday Morning Volunteers Needed
Nursery, kitchen, communion set up, video or sound tech, and more! Being a volunteer requires a commitment of only a couple of times a year. Family of Pat Elam: Pray that our God would comfort the family of Pat Elam, who went to be with the Lord on September 17.
Ray Bebee: Pray for Ray as he deals with health issues and has some upcoming tests.
Kay Campbell’s Sister-in-Law: Please pray that the Lord would bring healing to Kay Campbell’s sister-in-law who recently suffered a stroke.
Lawrence Owinya: Lawrence is taking his written licensure exams this week (licensure is one step in the ordination process in the PCA). Pray for him to have a sharp mind to recall all he’s studied and glorify God with the best of his abilities on these exams.
