Dear Faith Community Church Family,
In Psalm 27, David says this:
Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! (v. 14)
In his excellent, little devotional Chequebook of the Bank of Faith, Charles Spurgeon comments on this verse: “Wait! Wait! Let your waiting be on the Lord! He is worth waiting for. He never disappoints the waiting soul.
While waiting keep up your spirits. Expect a great deliverance, and be ready to praise God for it.”
In the early chapters of the book of Exodus, Moses and the Israelites are waiting on the great deliverance God has promised his people. Now, after a lengthy period of waiting, in chapter 7 we see the Lord acting on his promises! Through the plagues, the Passover, and the parting of the sea Yahweh shows himself faithful to his people.
Brothers and Sisters, the Lord who delivered the Israelites, the Lord who delivered David, is the Lord who delivers his people today. “Wait! Wait! Let your waiting be on the Lord! He is worth waiting for.”
This Sunday we turn our attention to Exodus 7:8-11:10. Thank you for your concern and faithful prayers as I was sick earlier this week, and thanks to our Director of Community Outreach, Jonathan Keller, for preaching God’s Word in my absence this past Sunday.
This Lord’s Day we will join together for Communion. Please take time to prepare your heart beforehand through prayer and confession of sin.

This Saturday: One Another Collective Market (10:00am-2:00pm)
Our church is partnering with One Another Collective to host a market featuring everyday goods made by artisans in developing countries. One Another Collective is a ministry in partnership with our missionary partner Phil Smith that works with women in developing countries to provide them with high quality training, work, and gospel instruction by hosting markets featuring their goods. If you are interested in becoming a member of Faith Community Church, we will hold our next membership class on Sunday, March 8 in Room 1 and Sunday, March 15 at the Austins. Tom Ollendorf: Praise God for a successful hip replacement surgery.
