Dear Faith Community Church Family,
Last fall, during our Path to Discipleship series, I preached on this verse from Romans 8: “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” (vv. 32) Our Lord does not withhold anything from his people that would bring him glory and be to their good. This week we have many reasons to express thanksgiving to our Lord. Let me list a few of them for you:
First, rejoice with me in the Lord’s faithfulness to Jonathan Keller who passed his presbytery exams this afternoon before both the examination committee and presbytery body! Jonathan has worked diligently in preparation for his exams, which included the areas of Bible content, the sacraments, church history, and personal godliness and character. Thank you for praying for our brother as he prepared for and took his exams today. Jonathan’s installation service will take place in the Worship Center on Sunday, June 7 at 4:00pm. Be sure to join us!
Second, last Saturday’s women’s ministry event was a beautiful time of worship, fellowship, and encouragement with around seventy women in attendance! Special thanks to Jenn Wright for coordinating this very successful event, and to those of you who dedicated hours to its success: planning, decorating, cooking, prepping, speaking, singing, serving, and cleaning up. Third, we praise the Lord for the financial commitments received for the African Diaspora Outreach and Church Plant vision. The elders presented the goal for our congregation of $25,000 in financial commitments. As of this week, we have received a total of $28,170 in commitments. Praise God! We rejoice in God’s provision and we’re continuing to pray for his ongoing guidance and wisdom with this vision to reach the diaspora community.
This Sunday, we continue our series The Lord is My Strength in the Book of Exodus. Our text this Lord’s Day is Exodus 28-31, 39.

Caring Network Baby Bottle Drive: Bring Your Bottles by Father’s Day (June 21st)
The Caring Network Baby Bottle Drive kicked off this Sunday! Caring Network is a Christian ministry devoted to loving and serving women considering abortion. Simply take a baby bottle from the table in the church office hallway and fill it with coins (or a check!) and return it by Father’s Day, June 21. Congregational Meeting: May 31st at 11:00 am
Our semi-annual congregational meeting will be on Sunday, May 31 right after Fellowship Time. Come prepared to hear about our ministry vision going into the fall, the 2027 budget, and Pastor Rhett’s sabbatical.
Community Celebration: Saturday, June 13th (11:00am-3:00pm)
Mark your calendars for the second Saturday of June! Returning from last year, we will host our Community Celebration to kick off the summer for our surrounding community. We aim to bless our community with a midday of games, music, and food trucks. Contact Jonathan Keller with any questions.
This Summer: A Praying Church Book Study
We recently held the A Praying Church seminar at our church, and this summer we’ll be digging deeper into what it looks like to be a praying church. In June, July, and August, we will have a monthly discussion and prayer group focused on the book A Praying Church by Paul Miller. More details forthcoming.

Women’s Ministry Luncheon: Praise God for a successful women’s ministry luncheon last Saturday.
