We desire to be a community where each of us experiences significant, lasting relationships that would highlight the active presence of Jesus in the lives of His people, and where we would encounter Jesus in ways that will shape our understanding and experience of His grace for the rest of our lives.
Because we believe we grow best in the context of relationship, we are committed to coming alongside middle and high school students on Sunday mornings and through various events which are geared towards laughing, sharing, exploring, serving, studying, praying and growing together. Also, our students are active in serving in various capacities along with their church family.
The primary ways we engage in discipleship with youth are through Christian education classes (Sunday school), one-on-one mentoring, and fun informal gatherings.
Sunday School: Beginning January 30, 2022 (11 am, youth loft)
On Sunday, January 30, our youth (grades 6-12) will begin a study on The Person of Jesus: Compassion. Sunday school takes place at 11 am in our youth loft. This study, adapted for students from Paul Miller’s SeeJesus ministry, introduces students to the person of Christ without neglected the theological doctrines of the gospel. From the book description: In this first unit, you’ll discover the beauty of Jesus’ compassion. See how he moves towards people in love by seeing, feeling, and doing. His pattern of love challenges the common obstacles of compassion: judging, fear, and cynicism. You’ll find yourself falling in love with the Person of Jesus!
We have several adults committed to safely serving our youth: Ben Huggins, Natalie Wierenga, Isaac Evans and Erin Evans. For questions, contact our Director of Ministries to Children and Youth.
