Youth

Youth

We desire to be a community where each of us experiences significant, lasting relationships that would highlight the active presence of Jesus in the lives of His people, and where we would encounter Jesus in ways that will shape our understanding and experience of His grace for the rest of our lives.

Because we believe we grow best in the context of relationship, we are committed to coming alongside middle and high school students on Sunday mornings and through various events which are geared towards laughing, sharing, exploring, serving, studying, praying and growing together.  Also, our students are active in serving in various capacities along with their church family.

The primary ways we engage in discipleship with youth are through Christian education classes (Sunday school), one-on-one mentoring, and fun informal gatherings.

Sunday School: Young Women’s Bible Study (Natalie Wierenga and Valerie Austin)

Young Men: A Praying Life course

This fall, our young women are reading through the gospel of John with Valerie Austin and Natalie Wierenga. We meet at 8:30 am Sunday mornings (before worship), either in the church building or in the Austin’s home. For more information, contact the church office.

Our young men are participating in the wider adult Sunday school class A Praying Life, which meets at 11 am in room 3/4.
